Team:Productiehuis : Recording all the things

May 24th 2017

Some people have wondered if and how the talks at SHA2017 will be recorded. Fear not, for Team:Productiehuis has you covered. The main goal of the team is to record and broadcast all of the official program at SHA2017.

We will cover everything that is going on in the three big track tents and we will also build a radio studio with transmitter. Currently, we are working on licenses for the FM transmitter and choosing the best rental company to supply us with stages, sound, lighting, and video inside the tents. All three stages will be lighted so the cameras will have no problems focusing and the video won’t need a lot of post-processing. Within the budget that we have been allocated we will do our best to give you the best on-stage experience.

Recording the talks and streaming them is done in cooperation with the lovely people of C3VOC, known for recording everything at CCC (congress, camp) and various other events like Easterhegg and EMF camp. We will be borrowing a lot of their infrastructure and our team is being joined by a few of the C3VOC members.

During the event we will need a lot of angels helping us with recording the talks by operating the cameras, mixing the audio for tent and stream, mixing the video for the stream and operating the lighting on stage and in the tent. We also need angels who can help us post-process recorded talks so they are available for viewing as soon as possible on the same day as being recorded.

For the radio broadcast we need people who want to make radio shows, record their podcast or help others make their shows. We also need people who know how (or want to know) how to be a radio engineer.

If you are interested in helping us, sign up in the Angel system and come to the Productiehuis Training on August 3rd (exact time and location to be determined). If the training does not fit your schedule, contact us, there will be other opportunities. Once you have received our (short) training you can sign up for shifts.

If you are on site during the buildup, please get in touch, we will need a dozen or so people helping us (and the rental company) with building stages, rigging and generally moving heavy stuff from truck to tent.
